a little help for an unbiased opinion. We have friends that live in the same country as us.. they are a married couple at 50 ish and 60ish.. very not into anything dodgy. We drove them to the airport about a week ago and they will be back in 10 more days.. of that time..14 of those days are in thailand and they look like they are having a lovely time, they are travelling on a budget and they send us videos and tell us we should do it. We are thinking about it. It looks beautiful. Issues 1) we have 2 large standard poodles that get a little revengeful if we leave them, even though our friends have offered to move in for the time, and our dogs love them..still pet owner fear

  1. we already live in the caribbean islands so not interested in just hot weather..have that everyday of the year here

  2. would have to go on a moderate budget (not including flights) as I still like 2 flights a year to canada (cheapie last minutes) to see my grandmonsters.

  3. and this one...please I am not judging or bragging.. We have way more money than our friends, but are retired and under 60 so living off passive income...they are throw money to the wind type..we are budget type. They say they are on a tight budget for this trip to thailand, but it would be rude to ask how much they are spending? I know how much flights cost and interior transport..but I doubt they are eating cheap , Would it be rude of me to ask?

  4. they video chatted last night from the hotel they have been at for the last 4 days.. it is 35 us a night and honestly it is beautiful.

so. my questions. anyone been there as a couple ? and if so how did you enjoy and was it ok to do on a budget?
