Tunisia

I’m due to travel for 5 days to Tunisia on Thursday but I’m really worried about all the hullabaloo with Iran. We booked with Love Holidays and fly with EasyJet just wondering if it’s worth trying to change to somewhere relatively safer? Is anyone else travelling this way that has made alternative arrangements or is still going?

I really don’t mean to sound like a debbie downer, but even without the current stuff happening in the Middle East, you couldn’t pay me to go back to Tunisia. Maybe you could use it as leverage to move the trip to somewhere else.

I think you'll find it's too late to change. Your options will be 'go as planned' or 'don't go but no refund'.

Thanks I’ve just checked and it says we can’t change as we travel within the next 5 days

Tunisia is about 2,000 miles away from Iran and about 1,000 miles away from Israel.

Easyjet would cancel if it's at risk and you'd get a full refund.

Or Loveholidays, whichever travel company.

Tunisia is not in the Middle East and there should be no increased risk compared to before the current conflict. Obviously avoid any demonstrations but it doesn’t sound like you are visiting cities anyway.

Hello from Hammamet…. We’ve been pleasantly surprised. The people are wonderful, the hotel a bit rubbish but a meal out at a nice restaurant 2 main meals and a couple of drinks £15. Would definitely come back x

Tunisia is great, don’t listen to the bad comments here. Go and enjoy your self. If you’re planning to visit the city please take some longer clothing with u, like long trousers or you can buy very nice abayas there just for respect of the locals. Everything is cheap and food is great!
