Hi, looking to go from Scotland in July to Emeral park with the kids. Ferry across and drive down.

probably mon-fri so looking for a base near to emerald park and anything else worth visiting. E.g the park a day, dublin a day and whatever else anyone can recommend?

have did a few UK breaks since covid and either stay on site (alton towers) or near by and travel (flamingoland but stayed in a haven and did york and whitby as well)

happy with hotel if no holiday park but issue is we have 3 kids need 2 rooms in a lot of places which is ok for a night but for more than one would need to sleep 5 or be interconnecting.

any advice? Thanks

I've never stayed there as I can do Emerald Park as a day trip but the City North hotel advertises packages for room plus Emerald Park tickets and I think it has interconnecting rooms.

And driving gives you many options too depending on ages of your kids. There is Puddenhill activity park 5 mins away, go karting places etc kinda depends what it is you want to do.

Citynorth hotel is about a 30 minute drive away from emerald park and city centre also and is also not a very nice hotel to stay in.
