Is Thomas Land suitable for a 10 year old

My sons birthday is the end of November so we usually take him away for the weekend as he loves rides, shows etc.

Weve been to Thomas land a few times and he absolutely loved it but it was when he was younger so I’m wondering if it’s suitable for a 10 year old.

He still loves Thomas and trains x

I’d say not. You won’t see many children there over the age of 7 who haven’t been dragged along as part of an outing for a younger sibling! Rides are tame and I think he’d be disappointed. If he loves Thomas and trains, he’s better off going to a Thomas themed day a a steam railway.

At Drayton manor? There’s loads of other stuff to do with the zoo etc - not sure if the big rides are open then.

Drayton Manor is generally suitable but ThomasLand is the little kid bit.

Well it’s part of Drayton Manor Park so there will be plenty of a 10 year old to do, and plenty of rides for him to go on, but probably not within Thomas Land itself.

I don’t think Drayton Manor is open then, maybe for Christmas things but I’m sure it shuts over winter?

I think 10 is maybe too old for Thomas land, although he might still like the truck rollercoaster etc- mine are 3.5 and 2 and they loved Thomas land!

Yes you’re right, I’ve just checked.
OP I don’t think there would be enough to amuse a 10 year old at Thomas Land. We went when my eldest was 8 and she was on the cusp of finding it dull then.

How about Chessington? It open all year round.

I took two 14 year-olds and an 11yo last year. They'd definitely, definitely outgrown Thomas Land but we still went on the troublesome trucks rollercoaster and had a selfie with the Fat Controller. The kids got into the spirit of the enterprise and screamed in pretend fear on the trucks, so a good time was had by all.

If the more grown-up rides in the rest of Drayton Manor are closed then I'd say go somewhere else. Alton Towers isn't too far off.

I'm pretty sure all UK themeparks close early in November. If they open later it tends to be select rides (not the bigger ones that are temperamental in the winter weather). Aside that, I'd say Drayton Manor is absolutely fine for a 10 year old. My child's school are running an end of year trip for their year 7 and 8s to Drayton Manor, and hell, they have rides that still appeal to me! 😂 If you wanted rides specifically, maybe Hyde Park winter wonderland is an option at that time of year? I think some European parks open later, eg. Europa Park, but obviously much more of a trek (and money).
