Spending money question

Hi. We are off to The Canaries tomorrow. We are booked as B&B. How much spending money would you take for 2 adults plus 2 young adults/older teens? We are paying for lunch and dinner for everyone but they are getting their own drinks and souvenirs. We are planning a couple of excursions that'll probably cost £100 each. We are going for 11 nights and will eat out every night. I'm a bit worried I've not budgeted enough !

Canaries are about the same price as here so about £150- 200 a day for 4 adult sized people plus money for the excursions. What have you budgeted?

I find eating out in the Canaries to be much more reasonable than in the UK, and of course drinks are cheaper.

€50 a day for the two adults whose drinks you are paying for, €40 a day for the two adults whose drinks you aren’t paying for. You’ll probably get some change out of that, as lunch can be quite cheap, but that’s how much I’d budget.

I wouldn't want 2 meals out every day as well as a hotel breakfast so I'd expect to pay for a full meal per person per day plus an ice cream or snack each day.

We also get cheese, olives, crisps and drinks to have on the balcony or beach. We don't have a budget as such and just pay by card mostly. If we have some euros lying around we'll take them to use for small purchases.

I've put aside £2300 so hoping that will be enough. We are hoping to not have to get lunch out if we fill up at breakfast. I wasn't sure if I'd massively under estimated!

Was in Tenerife last December and found that dinner out for 2 was circa 60 euro plus drinks and lunch 30/40 euros plus drinks.
You could have a main course lunch around 10/12 euro if you looked around. It’s not that cheap at all really. I would budget 100 euros per day per adult.

100 euros per day for 2 is about what we have. We can overspend if we have to but I'd rather not if possible. Thank you for all the advice
