Brugge - Hotel Recommendation

Looking to do a long weekend in December to Brugge and visit the Xmas markets. Looking for a hotel that’s with parking that’s central and in the city centre/ try close walking distance. Please recommend. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the parking situation but I've stayed at the Hotel Acacia and it was a great location - quiet but just off the market square.

The Christmas market in Bruges is not worth visiting. The town is very pretty but was very busy with British tourists when we went in December last year. I would base yourself in Gent - half an hour away by train, it’s a bigger city and much more vibrant; you can visit Bruges for a day trip.

The Christmas market itself is not big, I agree, we mainly used it to buy drinks and snacks.

However I personally thought Bruges itself was really magical at that time of year. There is a light trail and the whole city was decorated. We did go on the first weekend of the market and did not find it too busy. Christmas trees were already up everywhere and I guess people were getting ready for the feast of St Nicholas.

We stayed at Martin’s Relais. It was very nice, good location. Had parking.
