Summer holidays 2026

This year we are staying in the UK. Hoping to be a bit more organised this year and start planning a holiday for 2026. We are a family of 4 with a 17 year old and nearly 20 year old.
looking for a week/10 days not a long flight as not a big fan of flying.
looking for inspiration please give me some ideas.

Lake Garda? Lots of nice towns to explore, amazing food, water sports, Gardaland theme parks, hiking and biking, day trips to Verona, Milan and Venice by train….

Turkey if you’re ok with heat. The hotels there are another level. Side is lovely.
Rhodes and Crete are lovely, places to walk, historic sites.

If you want AI then Atlantico Mare in Cyprus is lovely, they have amazing swim up rooms.

Villa holiday then I would stay somewhere around Begur, fly to Girona and hire a car. So much to do round there and beautiful sandy coves.

We’re staying in Alghero in Sardinia next May half term. Pembrokeshire in August as we don’t like the heat.
