Have you been to Gothenburg? Would you recommend it for a weekend away?

I've been there a couple of times - the amusement park is great apparently, but not sure what else is good. You can get the train across to Stockholm cheaply though, and its a lovely journey.

I'd go to Stockholm instead - Gothenburg is pleasant but not hugely exciting. I had 24 hours there about 5 years ago and didn't feel I'd missed anything by not having longer.

Would you consider somewhere else in Scandinavia? I loved Oslo and Copenhagen..
