Can anyone help me find a last min break before the holidays?

I've been putting off a holiday for months as I'm nervous about the flight but my DC starts school this September and I want to go away before the school holidays start. I've was thinking mallorca, Italy, somewhere with max 2 hour flight time but the weather is already so hot there now.

Can anyone suggest anywhere we could go for a few days break, under 30 degrees, 2 hour easy flight from gatwick? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

You may struggle finding guaranteed sunshine and less then 30 already.

Austrian Alps - I find if it is warm, it's less of an issue than in the Med but you may get a mix of sun, rain showers and the odd thunderstorm if you are unlucky.

Spanish Atlantic coast or Portugal - again, the wind helps making it feel less hot.

Alicante is currently 28 degrees.

What kind of holiday do you want? I’m taking DS (5) to Oslo at the start of the holidays and it’s definitely not that hot there.
