Snow holiday recommendations

We would love to take our young family to a Kinder Hotel or similar for a 4 night break to see the snow and perhaps get the children on skis for the first time. (7, 5 and 2 year old). Finances mean we can’t do a full ski holiday yet, and we want to go when all 3 children can ski properly.

Could anyone recommend a Kinder hotel type place with a short transfer time from the airport and at high enough altitude for some snow at the beginning of January?

If you go to a ski resort even with a bit of skiing, you'll pay ski prices. The accommodation is pricey in these places, not just ski kit and lessons. Why not go to Finland or somewhere, believe it or not it is cheaper than the alps.

@Tadahhhyes - we aren’t looking for a ski resorts this time. Have you got any recommendations for very child friendly places in Finland?

I saw a discussion on Facebook where there is an indoor ski centre right next to a center parc in Holland. Might be worth looking into? Obviously that would be the only snow there though

You said and perhaps get the children on skis for the first time which usually requires a slope.

Ruka is fantastic and you can see Santa and huskies, igloos.
