Exotic destinations that don’t require travel vaccines?

I would like to take the children to Asia maybe or somewhere different and exciting! Never been out Europe with them. But I would rather not have to get extra vaccines for them

The trouble with different and exciting destinations is that they tend to have different and exciting diseases.

The NHS website says "If you're only travelling to countries in northern and central Europe, North America or Australia, you're unlikely to need any vaccinations."

Yes I guess this sums it up. I thought there must be other places, but I guess not

Thailand? Hawaii?

For Thailand you need to make sure you've had MMR, diphtheria, tetanus and polio vaccinations, and it's recommended that you have Hepatitis A jabs as well

I've been all over the world and never thought of vaccines. Gosh, I feel silly now, perhaps I just chose safe places. I had all my childhood vaccinations. I recently went to Singapore and Malaysia and been to Caribbean Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco Cuba with no issues. Look them up yourself though as I'm wondering if I was stupid now!

Japan - I’ve been twice and you don’t need anything beyond what you’d routinely have in the UK. Also very safe and I imagine given how well organised it is - fairly easy to travel around with kids.

I’ve travelled all over and not had anything extra - Thailand, Singapore, Morrocco, Australia, New Zealand?!

There is an NHS website fit for travel, places well developed like Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Maldives, even Thailand and Malaysia doesn't seem like anything is required. Although I am pretty sure mine were given hepatitis and typhoid jabs when we went to Thailand. If you are heading into less developed parts then recommended vaccine list increases.

NHSFitforTravel website is the best source.

My son didn’t need anything beyond what the NHS gives for Thailand but that is dependent on where in Thailand you go.

Argentina, Uruguay. Plenty of excitement (well in Argentina anyway, Uruguay is more chill).
