Best family locations and hotels in Greece

Hello, we just got back from Turkey and I'm already looking at another holiday for next year in Greece!
I've been to Turkey plenty of times but me and my husband have decided that we would love to try Greece for a change, but we don't know where's best to go with a 5 year old. So many beautiful islands and we're more for a relaxing holiday with plenty of stuff to do for our DD rather than staying up late for family entertainments, cheap shopping and just somewhere that doesn't have music blaring till midnight🙈

Where would you guys recommend? I've read the mumsnet topic on Greek Holidays but would love to find out from other family perspectives. Ideally all inclusive would be the best option for food and drinks and somewhere that's not totally remote! Kids club that would accept 5 year old would be great for DD to make friends and few hours peace😂

I’d say that Rhodes is one of the best islands for kids. There’s a decent water park at Faliraki and it’s not too far from Butterfly Valley and Farma of Rhodes, both of which my dd and ds enjoyed. We also did a couple of boat trips which left from Faliraki. We stayed at Mitsis Faliraki which is so well set up for families.

@Forgottenmyphone thank you, i just had a look at your hotel and it looks beautiful. Yes, I think Rhodes would be the best option. We love quiet villages and we're not fussy eaters so local foods would be amazing for us. I'm thinking about easter break for next year as the summer break might be too hot at that time of year and we love exploring. What time of year did you go if you don't mind me asking?

We really loved Rhodes. Stay near Lindos - it's a gorgeous town.

The hotel is located very centrally and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants. We went in May half term and it was warm enough to swim, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any cooler.

The Ikos hotels are amazing. We stayed at the Olivia last year. It’s all inclusive but you also have the option to eat at some local restaurants as part of the AI deal. Also a great kids club

Mastihari on Kos is lovely or Roda on Corfu. We have been to both with children

Lindos is beautiful but it is incredibly hot in the summer as it’s almost built in a bowl with most of the larger hotels higher up above the centre. We went in August & it was so uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on wet towels!
