Nicest place to go in algarve with teens

I have been looking at Lagos. We don’t need high energy nightlife as they aren’t old enough for that. Just somewhere that has nice beaches and a little town. Maybe a kayak trip. I don’t know the area well though so would love some recommendations

We stayed in Alvor with DS and his GF when they were 18 in 2019. It had enough bars / restaurants for our needs. We visited Albufeira, Lagos and Portmao (sp?), played a nice mini golf in Alvor and went on a boat trip. I liked what I saw of Lagos and would consider stopping there if we visited again.

Love Lagos.

Great beaches, lovely traditional town. Train. Family and young people orientated. Lots of back packers when we were there, a sort of young, hippie, surfer vibe. Kayaks, surf boards to hire, accompanied trips available.

Marina is modern. Beach on the marina side spreads for miles with some great restuarants. Our hotel was out there and we walked along the beach or boardwalk to it.

Evenings in the main summer, town and restaurants were really busy. We found we had to eat really early or book ahead.
