Beach holiday, Not long haul. No more than an hour from the airport. Not Turkey or Balearics.
We liked Rhodes town, Dubrovnik, the Poniente beach side of Benidorm, Playa blanca in Lanzarote.
Mainland Spain, Italy, Greek islands, Cyprus are all possibles.
Must be very close to a nice old town or marina / nice flat promenade for evening walkabouts and plenty of places to eat and
close to a flat beach with easy walk in and out of the sea, no sharp drop offs .
Hotel pool MUST have either zero entry or wide proper steps ( no ladders) - this seems to be the sticking point, especially in Greece and Italy. Adult only is preferable.
No more than £3500 for a week for 2 adults in August.
What I really want is somewhere like Florence but by the Sea!
