Looking to go away for a week at the end of August, somewhere in Europe, with a great beach and pool, kids club would be great but not essential. Max £2500 for the week ideally.

I've been scouring the web but its hard to be sure without recommendations so appreciate any suggestions.

Royal Son Bou in Menorca is extremely family friendly and has a golden sandy beach. Only 30 mins transfer from the airport.

I genuinely think anywhere in Greece or Spain fits this bill. You can probably get it cheaper though. We did 7 days at a similar time with two kids and it cost £1600 including flights and transfers via easyJet holidays. You are best to go with deals if you are not fussed where.

Or Portugal!

We have just come back from the Valamar hotel complex in Dubrovnik, Croatia. There are a few hotels with different budgets and ratings. All have pools and some you can use the adjoining hotel pool. They have an amazing kids complex shared between the hotels. The only downside is the beach is pebbly, but my son wasn't too into the beach. We went with Jet2 but TUI and easyJet also offer it.

Try GHB Gurana in Portugal

HL Rio Playa Blanca. Our 2 year old had an incredible time there!

We stayed here two years ago with our baby and 5 year old and it was perfect! Very family friendly, good food, short plane trip, bit of a transfer but wasn’t too long. Highly recommend! Kids club and lots of child friendly activities, pools etc.

Beach isn't great though was a short walk down a hill but meant on way back you had the walk up. Sand was very black underneath and quite a few days couldn't swim in sea as there was loads of green plants life similar to sea weed but apart from that hotel was great for kids

Ah you know I didn’t think about the beach here, as we’re not really beach goers, but you’re right the hotel is great apart from that.
