have taken a carseat with easy jet several times, they dont count it as luggage, i never even wrapped ours just put a label on it and checked it in to oversize luggage, has always been fine.

I've taken a car seat with easyjet a couple of times and it's been fine.
They don't count car seats, travel cots or buggies as luggage allowance (I even took a travel stairgate)

I've hired car seats from Autoreisen, but can't for the life of me remember which airport. Lanzarote? Don't do it. I've used provided ones more than once and was not happy at all. Take your own if you can.

lilyloo,i think they even let you take the seats for the bigger dcs onboard, as they can be strapped into the plane seat - the steward suggested we might do it next time when our dd didnt want to sit on her chair! (ring and chech though, he might have been talking rubbish)
tbh whenever we have flown with easy jet they have been great with the luggage we have come home with extra buggies ,car seats ,allsorts and never been asked to pay extra.

Jennster yes it's Lanzarote you wouldn't reccomend then ?
Never thought of older dc's in boosters on plane.

Oh dear. AutoReisen were the company with the longest queue, the slowest staff, and even when all the paper work had been done we were still hanging around the office where the cars were waiting for nearly an hour before we got our car. Absolutely nothing wrong with the car btw. They had piles and piles of car seats, but I couldn't adjust them to get tight enough for ds. I've had the same experience before with another company in spain. I just assumed it was the company. Next time we are on holiday and hiring a car, we are taking our own car seat. Would also pay extra not to hire from the cheapest company on travel supermarket.com!
