Anyone know a small hotel / motel in France for one night on our way back from Eurodisney?

We need to find a place to stay for one night next week somewhere between Disneyland Paris and Calais. Preferably between an hour and two hours from Paris so that we are not too far from Calaid the next day. I have seen a couple of Best Western-type places in Amiens which look fine, but thought the collected travel wisdom of Mumsnet might know of somewhere better. TIA.

Disneyland Paris to Calais isn't that long a journey, wouldn't you be better off going all the way to Calais?

In Calais we always stay at the Ibis at the Eurotunnel terminal, not pretty, but very convenient.

we have stayed here 4 times on our way to and from other areas in France.
very friendly owner,
wouldn't stay there for more than a couple of nights.

Thanks for those - jingleyjen, that place looks v nice, am going to check availability. Emkana - we are only at Disney for one day and thought that by the time we stay for the fireworks etc it will be pretty late. How long do you reckon it would take all the way to the Calais area? Also, we want to stop and buy wine at a place just outside Calais on the Thursday morning before our ferry, but it's not far so we could drive out again.

Is Montreuil too far north?

The Chateau de Montreiul is very nice, the food is superb

The website is shite though

I wouldn't stay there particularly unless you are foodies though

It has a pool too which is good fo rkids

CD, I have seen the C de Montreiul before on searching and it looks lovely, but we are just after a quick, clean, friendly stop this time as we will not be there til late. Will remember it for future trip when we have more time though.

Lots of other options in Montreiul - CdeM is really quite £££££, but has a pool.
www.theotherside.co.uk/tm-heritage/visit/eat-montreuil-hauts.htm is good - have stayed and eaten there
