travel insurance for 13 year old travelling with another family

Hello, my 13 yr old will travel to Greece with another family. Dad (me) and Mum wont be there.

We want to buy travel insurance for her and she is not covered by our family travel insurance to travel with other adults. I've read that a single trip policy is best but providers are few, and, without having to wade through loads of T & Cs (and most likely still not find the answer!), I have limited faith that a chosen policy will cover her.

Does anyone have advice please? Have you been in this situation and can you recommend any providers that will clearly state that I will be covered for this scenario?

Thanks for your help.

Steve

I looked into this for my niece very recently. I did a quote for Coverwise, linked through the Money Saving Expert website, and it was about £11. I had to put myself in as the person buying it, but could then list her as the person insured.

We have a family annual policy and any one of us is insured on it to travel alone (under 18s need parental permission). This is also with Coverwise. I chose this one specifically because on a previous policy DP needed an additional policy for any trip where he wasn't travelling with me (as main insured person).

In the end it turned out that my brother's annual policy with Staysure covered my niece for travel alone, as long as she was under adult supervision, so we didn't need the separate policy.

Thank you Janek, I’ll investigate those policies
