Best hotel with water park?

hipphopphoo · 31/05/2025 10:33

Looking for nice hotel with a water park for tweens somewhere safe for them to wander around and dh and I to relax

I am not a fan of all inclusive but accept that most of these places are and tweens would love all inclusive. Also don’t like loud/ party/ chav places but tweens don’t care.

ideally Italy France greece or Spain but not Canary Islands.

Don’t fancy turkey Egypt

any recommendations please.

Unexpectedly, we LOVED Aquaworld in Budapest! Old school European service and food, great complex indoor and outdoor, thermal pools. A spa, close to the city.. we have been twice and loved every minute.

Salou is great, more family than party atmosphere, and portaventura is amazing theme park and has an adjoining water park and farrari land! Depending on where in salou you stay we walked to the theme park and got a taxi back. We stayed 2 mins from the main beach 😊

I know you said that you don’t fancy turkey, but we really loved Cullinan Belek - really beautiful hotel, amazing food and an on site waterpark.

Wow that does look really good, but a lot of money!

I went on my first ever holiday abroad to salou it was a really big deal, we were very working class and didn't have money for holidays, I was about 12/13, I know it was 1997 because we were there when Diana died. My dad had worked at his company for 25 years and they offered him the option of Thomas Cook holiday vouchers as his present and he worked every Saturday that year as overtime to pay the balance. I LOVED that holiday. I remember it having lovely beaches, we went to port a Ventura on the local bus and to Barcelona for a day and I think on a coach trip to Andorra...

Fodele beach in Crete.

Atlantica Aegean Blue or Blue Lagoon Village are both great all inclusive with water parks. Unfortunately they don’t touch Turkey in terms of service/luxury and facilities. Delphin Be Grand in Belek was fantastic for us a couple of years ago and this year we are off to the Aquasis in Bodrum. I didn’t fancy Turkey either and now we have been 3 times - they understand how to do AI

TorturedParentsDepartment · 28/07/2025 15:53

We've got Rhodes booked for later this year all inclusive - based on DD1's prerequisite of wanting "all inclusive, lots of waterslides and to come back orange"

Her holiday priorities need working on - but we do appreciate AI for freedom from the kids wanting stuff.

Another vote for Stella Palace in Crete. You’ll do well to find a better hotel and waterpark set up than there.

mamagogo1 · 28/07/2025 15:58

There was one attached to our hotel in Ibiza, we went out of season so very few children so can’t say if it get crowded. Siranis country club. Ai but had a couple of restaurants you could use instead of the buffet, beautiful beach right next door and could walk to bars etc or catch public bus to the old town

I personally avoid turkey because standards can be very hit and miss plus outside of the hotel there’s extra rules to contend with and the airport prices can be ridiculous. My phone includes eu roaming so might as well stick to eu in my case too.
