Where do we go on holiday?

We are a family of 5 - me and my husband, and our 3 children.

next year we want to do a large trip. Our children will be 13, 6 and 4. We have done staycations, Disneyland Paris and Paris. But now we are looking for a longer haul journey.

maybe USA? Somewhere in Asia instead?

any ideas welcome!

we had considered a US road trip. Is this feasible?

Will your younger 2 be happy with a road trip? Mine weren't great fans of a lot of driving at that age.

How about Malaysia? It’s good weather in our summer, if you avoid the west coast. You could either stick to the mainland and east coast islands, or split the time between mainland and Borneo, or just head to Borneo.

Mine would also have hated a road trip at those ages tbh

I'd go to Thailand, been several times from when youngest was 3 and kids always love it.

Mine loved a USA road trip from young ages! You just have to plan well and with state parks every few miles it’s brilliant.

I’d combine Shenandoah and Tennessee with a city your teen chooses. Maybe DC or Atlanta
