I will be in Brisbane (near the CBD) in a few weeks. Please provide your recommendations of things to do/see whilst there (adults only no need to consider the kids).
I would love to get out hiking one day. Where is best to go? think stunning views, nature, a wild koala? We will be without a car so accessible via public transport

Thanks!

Lone Pine Koala sanctuary is very nice and close to Mt Cootha for a hike with a view at the end. Kangaroo Point for walk along river starting at Terrace and you can cross bridge for dinner at Howard Smith Wharves but you'll need to book. Viewing platform at casino (not in casino but same building).

We just came back from Brisbane last night. 50c flat fare public transport is great, we just rode the public ferry for sightseeing - no need to do river cruises. Would heartily recommend Dark Shepherd restaurant at the casino complex (I would never usually eat somewhere like that but we were staying in a holiday apartment at Queens Wharf Residences and friends suggested it). Southbank is worth a wander, lots of bars and restaurants down there. A walk though the botanic gardens was nice. We were only there two nights and DH was working one of the days so we didn’t have a chance to go further.
