We're going to one in northern Spain. Anything we should look out for?

We won a prize holiday at a site in Western France. Unlike a lot of MN competitions, I fear, they were in touch immediately and incredibly helpful with the booking (it was our first time too). We had a fantastic time and thought the site was clean, well-run etc. The caravan (near but not top of range) was great - usual compact bedrooms for children but very comfortable).
I think they vary a lot in ambiance...we deliberately chose one billed as quiet and not bells and whistles IYSWIM because that suited us.
Enjoy, I wish we could afford a return trip, the dcs adored it.

Is it El Delfin Verde? We went there with Siblu and it was fab

Yes, it is El Delfin. Oh, I'm so relieved you all had a good time there.

I had visions of my childhood summers in French campsites with those squatty loos all covered in pap, holey tents and no where to eat!

It is a HUGE site, and you may have a few minutes to walk to the beach (which is lovely, the sea is really calm so great for swimming & paddling in).

The on-site supermarket is large & reasonably priced and there are other shops on site too.

The entertainment was very popular & fun to watch with a beer in hand

I remember we walked up a nearby mountain that you can see from the site. It said something like 20mins to the top on the sign - that is if you are a goat!!! It took forever but was worth it for the views.

We didn't use the loo blocks as our van had everything we needed, but if the rest of the site was to go by they will bee fine.

The nearby town (Estartit?) is well worth a vivit, lovely marina etc.

Have fun!!
