Health crisis n Sarajevo due to rat-borne diseases

Has anyone heard of an emergency crisis in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina because of the rampant spread of some illnesses carried by rats?Read that it is not recommended to drink public water there.

Where have you read this? What is the gov advice? Generally travellers are told not to drink the water anyway.
