Flying with Easyjet from Gatwick

Is there anyone who has travelled from Gatwick with Easyjet recently who can confirm if you still have to use the 20cm plastic bags? Can you have many 100ml containers in your hand luggage up to 1 litre - I won't need that much :)

I’m reading conflicting information as although Gatwick have the new scanners, Easyjet’s website says everything must fit into the plastic bag.

I know you can buy what you need at Boots, but I’m on a very tight budget and its cheaper for me to decant at home.

What was your experience?

Sorry can't help. But will follow if you don't mind. I'm flying easyjet from Gatwick in a couple of weeks. Haven't flown for over 15 years!

I flew a few weeks ago and Gatwick has reverted to just 100mls. Nothing to do with easyJet check the airports website for latest info

No need for plastic bags anymore. I flew in September and April and took a normal wash bag with me. Everything stayed in my carry-on bag. They kept shouting not to take anything out of the bags except laptops etc. Everything still needed to be under 100ml, I think.

I don’t believe there is a limit on the amount of bottles under 100ml either.

No plastic bags anymore. Everything stays in your bags. Still 100ml limit. No limit on how many. I travelled from there last week.

Check the rules for the airport you'll be returning from too, could well be different.

Everything has to be under 100 mls, you just don't have to take it out your bag. On our way back from Spain we did have to take everything out our bag.

Thank you all for your quick replies, they have been very helpful!

@Boxingshibes Hop aboard, the more the merrier.

@scoobiedoozie – yes, we will have the plastic bag limit on our return journey, so my plan was to discard what I don't need that won't fit, and bring the bottles back empty .
