Holiday park recommendations

Hi all. It’s that time of year again, trying to book a break in the summer and just am full of indecisiveness.

For various reasons we can’t go abroad this year, we did a week in a caravan in Cornwall at Easter which was lovely but the weather was a bit of a wash out.

Budget is quite small, approx £1000 for 2 adults and 2 children for a week in July, but happy to go higher if it’s perfect. Probably going to be caravan again for that price, and we were thinking south Wales as haven’t been before. Want to avoid Devon and Cornwall as have been for the last few years.

Wish list:
Pool with slides
Outdoor pool
by the beach
Evening entertainment
outside seating at accommodation - decking/veranda etc.
Within walking distance of a town with pubs/restaurants
stuff to do for kids in surrounding area, walks and NT places, theme parks pretty villages and beaches.

I have found a few which tick these boxes but the trip adviser reviews put me off, and are big Haven/park dean places which I know can be hit and miss.

Also considering Butlin’s, we have been loads and although a bit rough and ready the kids love it as so much to do even if the weather is rubbish, but I’m in 2 minds.

any recommendations would be welcome.

thanks

We do Butlins. It is rough and ready, but the kids adore it. There's loads to do. Plus the funfair and soft play all being included in part of the price helps with the additional costs you end up with in other places.

We also get the premium dining and it makes it a properly chilled holiday not having to think about main meals (some of the kids might need a sandwich at lunchtime, but that it).

Haven Hafan Y Mor ticks most of your boxes. It’s definitely one of the better Haven parks. Also worth looking at Cofton Holidays and Warmwell, which are not right by the beach but close (Cofton is within cycling distance of Dawlish).
