Florida Reveal

This year we are taking the children to WDW in August. The children will be 15, 8 and 4. My eldest knows we are going as he has been involved with picking the villa ect. The younger 2 don't know we are going.

We are actually going for my daughters 8th Birthday (her birthday will be while we are there). The children have been lucky enough to go a few times before, but this time I want to do it as a surprise reveal for them.

When I have asked my Daughter what she wanted to do for her birthday she's been saying a trip to Florida and we have just told her there is no way we could do that. So she has no idea we are off.

I don't know how to tell her we are going now, maybe wait until the airport? before we go? I want to do something to make the moment magical.

Any ideas?

Wow lucky kids and sounds like an amazing trip. Personally I don’t like last minute surprises. For me, it takes away the anticipation and excitement in the run up to the event. I would tell them a week before so they can enjoy the thought of it first.
(that’s just me though! With the airport reveal, what were you thinking.., literally waking them up to go to Florida as a surprise or travelling to the airport saying you’re going somewhere else and then telling them?)

Agree with PP - give them time to enjoy the anticipation. Maybe you could do a 'treasure hunt' at home with the clues being Disney things hidden round the house and the 'prize' being the tickets.

You could post an invitation from Mickey?

I'd wait until the school holidays though so her friends don't get jealous and because it's a short time to wait.
