Building going on at TUI Resort - offered change

I've booked for me, my husband and DS (3) to go to TUI Suneo Estival in Spain next month on our first package holiday. Got an email yesterday alerting us to the fact that building work is going on at the beach nearby, and have been offered to make free-free changes if we like. Am considering it..

Has anyone ever done this before, and what were the conditions? Could I book in at a completely different resort?

We don't book package holidays so I can't really comment on the conditions of rebooking. I would assume it would be like for like to a degree - if you've booked a 3 star self catering, you couldn't rebook into a 5 star all inclusive, for example.

We've just recently stayed at a hotel that had building work going on outside and I would absolutely look to rebook in your position. We were childfree on a city break, neither of us light sleepers or particularly precious about noise, but it was bloody rough! The soundproofing was great but we were still up at 0730 when the drilling started, couldn't enjoy the balcony because we were eye level with the workers building the new hotel across the road...felt a bit awkward sitting there in a towel with a packet of lays 😂.
