vendee mobile home holiday

I am trying to arrange a summer holiday- has to be in school holidays-and am thinkingof a mobile home right by the sea, as previously I have had gite holidyas which, whilst very nice and spacious, and peaceful in the evening, leave little to do once you have eaten. Now my children are both past the age of being tired at 7pm they need something more to go off and do in the evenings - even if it is as simple as having other children aroundto play table ennis, football etc.. And I do not really want to spend evening after evening sitting with other half with nothing else aroundto vary any evening OR have to have us driving every evening to a restaurant.

My only reservation is that it might be difficult to get any peace on a mobile home site. Also, how sunny is it in the area of the Vendee? When I visited it in August previously we had terrible weather and were told that it was an exceptionally bad spate of weather.... Anyone had experience of mobile home holidays at Brem-sur-Mer or Les Sables? Is the weather better in Languedoc?

I'm going to Le Bois Masson next week, near St Jean-de-Monts. If that interests you, I can let you know how it goes...

You should try campng Acapulco in St jean de Monts - you can walk to a beach (not the main St j d m) one but a lovely one non the less!! you're close to the big water park and can walk into wee 'village' area (ie just shops, bars and restauarants) with a supermarket, bakers etc. the campsite is fab and had plenty on for the whole family. Pool area great and the food in the restauarant was excellent. It's not as busy/noisy as le bois masson (stayed there too) it was just a really nice family friendly site. haven;t stayed at brem but there is a fantastic place for a fun day out - les dunes think it might be www.lesdunes.com hope that works!!

You MUST also do le puy de fou - fantastic!!! le Bois Dormant is the sister site of le bois Masson (just across the road) and you can use all the facilities. You could stay there for the peace and ceoss the road for entertainment.

Weather has always been great for us in the vendee but obviously it's a lot hotter in langeudoc!
