We have a 2 week road trip in Norway in July. 2 adults and 2 teens.

Our itinerary/ stop overs are:

Oslo
Andalsnes
Loen
Flam
Bergen
Odda

We gave some hikes planned but would love to hear some ideas of places to go, stop offs, restaurants/ cafes/ shops etc.

Thanks

There’s a year-round Christmas shop in Bergen that has the most incredible decorations.
All of my family enjoyed the aquarium in Bergen, even the adults. They have a very cute penguin show and a good collection of axolotls.
I definitely recommend taking the funicular up to Mount Fløyen for the best view! It was particularly spectacular as the sun set so try to make it up there for that.
We got some great street food from a market in front of the undercover fish market.
My favourite things is Oslo were the Fram museum, Munch museum and Ekebergparken sculpture park. The latter was free and had amazing views.
The two best meals we had in Oslo were at Mamma Pizza and Den Glade Gris.

I will follow this. We're going to Bergen and Flam for a week in mid July.

Please take the full range of clothes: waterproofs, jumpers, summer clothes. And day to day meds like paracetamol, lemsips and what not. It's so expensive out there.
How many days are you doing in each location?

The troll cars at one of the glaciers are great fun.

Note that the Troll Road was shut last summer and it was not certain it would reopen.

You have to go on a boat trip down a fjord!

Salt in Oslo is fantastic and all the family would enjoy it

The cable car at Andalsnes is well worth a visit, pay at the machine instead of queuing at the kiosk. Nice (but pricey) Eggen Café at the summit, and lots of walking routes from there.
Anywhere is Norway is very nice - you won't be disappointed with wherever you go.
