Babys first holiday - Italy in April?

Due to give birth in July and thinking about planning a holiday for next year. My partner and I really like the idea of Italy, thinking of going April time just before my mat leave finishes and when weather should be okay.

Baby would be around 9 months old. We like the idea of Italy to see some sights, do a good bit of walking (with a buggy), eat lots of pasta and ice cream.

I've been to Sorrento once as a child and my partner has never been to Italy.

So whereabouts in Italy do you recommend?

When we were in Sicily, they said high summer was 40 degrees now. End of June can be extremely hot. I’d decide if you want sightseeing and walking or beaches. You might find you need to go later for beaches. You might like Sardinia too.

You have to take dc as they are. My DD1 was sitting up at 6 months but not walking until 14 months. 9 months wasn’t a big issue and most dc are not walking at 9 months.
