Opinions on Benidorm please

Looking to go for 3 nights beginning of October, I know it's tacky but I also think it might be fun. Please tell me how you found it if you have been and any hotel recommendations would be great thanks.

I went a few months ago, also expecting it to be full on tacky and somewhere I’d only visit once to experience it, but we are going back again. We loved it! We did stay in the old town, which in my view is better and has Tapas Alley, with lovely restaurants. There are plenty of shops, pubs/bars, and restaurants nearby and a market in the old town. The hotel we stayed in was Barcelo Benidorm Beach and is in a great location, I would definitely recommend it. The strip (new town) is crazy busy and full of stag and hens etc. but it was funny to see it. Too busy for me to be honest of a night time, but I’m glad we did it one night. When we go back we are staying in the old town again. Go for it, you’ll have a great time and it’s a laugh looking at all the goings on! X

Been a few times recently. Love it (and I don’t think I would). Old town is lovely - we are there most nights but we stayed right in the heart of the strip and it was fantastic
