The sheer nastiness of BA’s website

Im trying to book flights to France and need to change my email address in my BA account. It says it has sent me new login details, which it hasn’t. Or it takes me to a page where I have to input my BA Club number, I don’t have one so I try to join BA club , the website times out. So Then I try to register from scratch using my new email address- again the website keeps timing out. I’m anxious about login with old email address in and buying tickets. Don’t know what to do!

Have you tried using a different browser?

Wolfpa · 15/05/2025 18:03

Have you tried clearing the cookies and cache from your browser?

TheGander · 15/05/2025 18:23

Using a different browser worked! I have an old device, changed from safari to chrome and was able to reset my email address. Brilliant! Wolfpa, I have previously tried clearing all cookies and weirdly my iPad won’t allow me to, that function is greyed out.

Call them and say you can’t get the website to work, and they should waive the booking fee. I had an issue getting payment to go through and the agent was very helpful.

Thanks @TianasBayou , it’s been sorted, I was able to change my email address.

Totally agree though, their website is absolutely dreadful and the app isn’t much better

Yes, BA.com has pretty much always been a shitty website. Not easy to use AND crashes far too often for a national flag carrier site.
They are always making improvements...
