Best place to stay near/ travel to Gatwick

We have (for the first time) flights booked in the summer, leaving at 6.45am, and returning 10pm a few days later.

Recommendations needed on where to stay and how to travel to Gatwick (North Terminal) for those flight times please!

Also best place for airport parking? Thanks!

Bloc hotel in the terminal
with parking in medium term or long term

Premier Inn is directly opposite the North Terminal

Depends on your budget. There is premier inn at Gatwick North or a very nice Sofitel.
If you want to save a bit of money try hotels in Horley or Crawley. Massetts Road in Horley has a few decent B&Bs on a direct bus route which runs 24hrs, takes about 5 mins and costs £3 per person.

Any of the airport hotels. It doesn't really matter which terminal, as the monorail between the two will get you to the right one in minutes.

We always park in the Gatwick long-term car parks. Ok price, shuttle is good and its easy. We have also stayed in Premier Inn on site. Its right outside the N terminal door

We used to use the Premier Inn, (coupled with Purple Parking) but the price has increased dramatically.
After a lot of research, last month we used Holiday Inn + long-stay at the airport.

I agree with bloc, they give you access to the fast lane to security so you don't need to queue.

We always stay at the Holiday Inn, then drive 10 minutes to valet parking. Booking together can be cheaper, but check booking separately too.

not a recommendation of where to say but the trains do run all night to Gatwick. We live not far away and caught a 3.30am train last summer to the airport, and it was a train that runs frequently through the night

Second this.

I second the Premier Inn right opposite the North Terminal

Amazing thank you everyone!
