Has anyone been to the "Tase of...." Events, Am I delusional in thinking it might be a fun day out with a toddler in tow ?

Really want to go to The Taste of Edinburgh thing. Its under canvas, has music and I believe lots of mini restaurants where you can try things out. Unfortunately can't get parents to look after our active 2 year old the day its on so am thinking we could go to the afternoon one and buzz around things together. Has anyone been to one and can recommend if this is a realistic proposition ? Please say yes, because if not I am doomed to help out at the Mother & Toddlers fete, that for long and convoluted reasons I don't really want to.

feck it, get the toddler strapped in the buggy and off you go! Sounds way more fun than a mothers and toddlers fete!!

I went to one a couple of years ago - dd would have been 5. She seemed to enjoy it and ate a load of pancakes!

I went to Taste of London last year and it felt like a pretty grown-up affair, although I seem to remember there was a big Innocent Smoothies area with stuff for kids to do.

I don't remember seeing many kids around, but maybe I was filtering them out coz on a non-mum treat day .

I reckon, as long as the weather's good, it'd be worth going. Certainly beats a mother and toddler fete!

Decided to ditch Rookietoddler and go in the evening instead as we have a baby sitter. It means we won't have as much time there, but realistically with a manic 2 year old, we would have been lucky to stay for more than an hour anyway. Oh and still planning not to go to the M&T fete anyway because I'm just bad
