Cuba with a 3 year old

Hi

My partner really wants to see Cuba. I have a 3 year old daughter who I would like to take with me. Has anyone been with a young child?

I would like to have some beach time combined with a few days in Havana. I have a reasonable budget and want to come home feeling like I have had a holiday too. This means that some child care will be essential.

All advice gratefully received.

ok, our Cuba experience was not a positive one. Here's why...
We took ds aged 20 months to Varadero for 2 weeks all inclusive. He fell ill on day 3 with chronic diarrohea and we had the doctor out twice then a trip to hospital where they were considering putting him on a drip. Its the scariest experience I have ever had. I did got to Havana on a day trip which was amazing and very very busy.
I felt Varadero could have been any beach in the world as it was not the real cuba. I would go back but not til DS is much much older as the medical facilities were very basic. This is just my opinion though. Others may disagree!
