Hi
We have a week's holiday in la Rochelle then we have spare night before travelling to Rouen and then Tours. Can anyone recommend where we can stay for one night on way up to Rouen? Have 3 children. 10, 7 and 1. Thank you

We stayed in a lovely B & B many years ago (about 14) driving down to the Vendée. It Sa French farmhouse and was a real experience as she did an evening meal for us too (like a mini holiday, we were self catering), student to a restaurant just home cooked meal (3 courses and aperitif!). Sorry to not be more help but I'm sure there must be B & B websites for France.

We’ve broken many a journey at Hotel Ricordeau because it gives the dc a really good chance to let off steam before and after a long time in the car. It has a playground, outdoor pool and plenty of space to run around. Children can tour the kitchens and mine were allowed to finish preparing their dessert themselves.

We stayed in a village called Angles. It was lovely rural with a nice town and beach.

We stayed in Angers on the way back from La Rochelle. Good sized place, lots of history and the chateau is worth visiting. It also has a nice town square with lots of restaurants and a pleasant vibe in the evening. We stayed in a small hotel in the centre, with an underground car park.
