Can anyone recommend anything, must be a short transfer from airport, no longer then 30/40 mins and have plenty of bars/restaurants around. TIA

The pain with any transfer is not the distance, it's the loading and unloading time. For example, Santa Ponsa in Majorca would fit your bill (a lot of people recommend Jutlandia Family Resort, but I haven't been there). It's 30 minutes in a taxi from the airport (€50), and 40 minutes by public bus (€7.50 total for two adults), but if you get a transfer included with a package, you can spend an hour sitting in the coach at the airport while they wait for six flights to arrive and then another hour touring the resort if yours is the last of 12 hotels that they have to visit.

CalaDor is about a 50 minute transfer ,we went there 25 years ago and it was perfect for all ages. We have gone back there so many times and I pop on a plane regularly for the tranquility.
Not full of Brits abroad but a lot there to keep young people happy.
We as a family are now visiting again with the grandchildren.

@daisytuliprose Following this thread as we’re looking for something similar for next year 😊

DH and I usually go to Cala D’Or and it is lovely and very family friendly (or was at least, it’s been 6 years since we were last abroad) but all the hotels we previously visited were more adult hotels.

We’re currently debating the Zafiro hotels (Can Picafort one maybe) or trying one of the family resorts in Menorca 😊
