European Campsites (Eurocamp etc)- Total novice, help?!

Hi,

I’m hoping take my 3 children away this summer, along with my mum.

My children’s ages are 15, 6 and a toddler of 18 months so I am looking for somewhere that caters for all.

I’m wanting somewhere like Ribby Hall but in the sun. A site that has activities, swimming and entertainment.

I certainly wouldn’t be confident driving on the other side of the road, it’s an absolute no, and my mum doesn’t drive, so i’m looking for somewhere relatively close to an airport so that the transfers don’t cost me hundreds and hundreds.

I love the look of La Sirene in France but looks like it’s booked up for the dates we want (Mid July) Plus the airport we would fly into is a long way from the Campsite.

Never done a holiday like this before so appealing to those of you that have! Any recommendations, hints and tips would be appreciated. Spain or France would be ideal.

Les Marsouins, Argelès-sur-Mer | Roussillon | Eurocamp might suit? The nearest airport is Perpignan Rivesaltes Airport (PGF). or Le Castellas | Languedoc | Eurocamp, which has the airport of Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport (BZR). Both are 'car optional' parks so you won't need a car to get around.

@xmasdealhunter Thank you. Will take a look! Unfortunately there’s no flights to Perpigan anywhere near to where we live so we’d need to fly to Girona I think and then transfer from there but I think it’s quite a long way

Best park we stayed on was pra delle torri in Italy. Park has detailed public transportation options listed including airport shuttle from both Venice and treviso.

Union Lido and Portofelice are fab and can be accessed by transfer / bus from Venice and Treviso. Club Farret / La Carabasse are in Vias 10 mins from Beziers airport.

try This one in Italy but it will be boiling and it’s not necessarily cheap for a family for 4 but I can imagine for larger families it would be look at Del Garda or Bella Italia near Lake Garda.

we did it without a car but it’s harder onsite accessing food

Which airports for France does your airport fly?

there are many on the Vendee but Rennes or Nantes would be nearest airport

not driving will limit your options

what about somewhere like Barcelona?

There are lots of sites near Beziers that people recommend for car free holidays. (I’m not the person to ask though as we always drive) I’d start by checking where you can get flights to from your local airport and consider other local ish airports (eg if you’re thinking of flying from Leeds Bradford, what about Manchester or East Midlands).

However you will be restricted in availability for many of the popular sites for this summer.
