I wouldn’t really class it as business class. Assuming you mean virgin upper? It is ok, but not really a proper great food, great service, business class product IMHO.

Where are you flying to, I would avoid virgin, if you look on YouTube there are always live reviews and if you look for the flight number you can look at the seat plan, aircraft type,

I rate Virgin upper class higher than BA but it’s lower than Singapore Airlines or Emirates.
it depends where you fly to.

the issue with Virgin began when they teamed with Delta, it really went down in standard unfortunately.

Thanks for your replies , we’re flying to Boston
We’ve flown business with BA a few times and it’s been ok but never virgin

I like Virgin business and upper class. And Heathrow to Boston is an easy flight.

billycorn · 07/05/2025 21:15

The upper class virgin lounge at Heathrow is very good, better than BA in my opinion. I prefer to fly BA Business but their prices have gone through the roof.

Virgin Upper was good when I went with them about 10 years ago. Good food and the flat beds were quite comfortable. As above the lounge was good.

BIWI · 07/05/2025 21:35

I would always choose Virgin Upper Class over BA Business Class.

minnienono · 07/05/2025 21:35

I’m not keen on virgin myself, feels like a package airline though it’s a bit route dependent. Had awful food last time.

noodlezoodle · 07/05/2025 22:07

I only fly Virgin for transatlantic and rate them really highly, whichever cabin you're in. I like the new configuration in Upper but I'm not sure the old-style flip-over beds are as good. They are lie flat but horribly uncomfortable. New ones much better.

jeaux90 · 08/05/2025 07:29

I’d say Virgin Lounge is better. But prefer BA over Virgin Upper. I’ve always had good experience with both though. Premium economy and below, always BA.

I'd be cautious and take older reviews with a pinch of salt. Been on 3 virgin flights in the last 6 months (all to the USA) and all were absolutely ancient planes. Seats and screens litterally falling apart. Staff were miserable as anything. Awful experience. I believe theyre meant to be getting new planes at some point, but certainly no sign of them yet.
