Dream honeymoon

I’ve been a lot of places (cabin crew for 30 years) but hive mind won’t hurt. Two people in their 50’s ish.
Not outdoorsy, more outsidey.. sitting with a martini. Like nice rooftop bars with a chill out dj, great food and pool/beach. Love a beach but would be bored shitless with a “just us and only us -Maldives villa “ type of holiday.
Time not fixed as of yet. Probably October.

money not really an object as special holiday but we’re not millionaires.
any suggestions?

Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Bali, Bora Bora, Costa Rica, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Chile, Hawai.

We stayed at a Hilton. There is also Tahiti,Petra and Alaska - it really depends on what you want your preferences are.

Easter island? Four seasons Serengeti? Fiji/Vanuatu? I’m sure you’ve been to Mauritius but have you been to any hotels in le Morne?

I would also say French Polynesia, we did Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. Still things to do compared to Maldives.

The south coast of Sri Lanka is brilliant. We loved Mirissa and Weligama. They’re not far from two of the best national parks so you could also do an elephant/leopard safari.

&Beyond do really good deals for honeymoons, and some of their properties are incredible. Eye watering but with the discount (I think possibly 50% off the price of one person, for a honeymoon) it might be justifiable.

Or maybe closer to what you suggest, what about Miami? Rooftop bars, beaches, great food etc.

What about Tanzania. The rift valley was pretty spectacular.

Barbados , St Bart’s, Singapore, I would have said Florida Keys but dodgy time of year - and oh I agree with your sentiments!!

I love love love Barbados. Been there on holiday over 10 times and with work over 100x I think that’s the issue, I love it more than anywhere but sort of feel a honeymoon should be somewhere neither of us have been with others… keep comparing everything to Barbados…

Where don’t you fly? I’d look at all those place. OK you might have to pay for flights 😱 but might be worth it.

My list of suggestions

1. You've probably been to Japan, but thinking of Okinawa for beach vibes with some time elsewhere on Kyushu for some sightseeing. I have been to Kyushu but not Okinawa.
2. Someone else mentioned Bora Bora. We combined Easter Island and French Polynesia, we didn't go to Bora Bora, but we visited Tahiti and Moorea. It's beautiful region, but a massive trek from the UK (assume you live here), we went whilst living in Australia and it wasn't too bad to get there via NZ.
3. Madagascar, has the national parks but also some flying beach resorts on the north, weather seems good in October but maybe a bit quiet. I would have done this for my honeymoon, but there was unrest at the time.
4. Galapagos, also suggested by someone else, cruise combined with Quito or the Amazon or Colombia, or all of the above, lots of options!
