Alton Towers ride planning

Outside of school holidays, how many rides do you think you can fit (reasonably comfortably) into a day at Alton Towers?

Looking at the AT website, there are 9 "thrill" rides, 9 "horror and laugh" and a load of young kid type ones. I'm keen to hit as many thrill ones as possible :D horror & laugh would be fun, no interest in the very young kids' rides. Perhaps 2-days would be more sensible. Yes, I adore rollercoasters 😉

I go on a school trip each year in June on a weekday. We get there around 11.00 and leave around 4.00. The kids all manage to get on 3 maybe 4 of the big rides in that time and not much else.
