Hi! Any suggestions for family travel games? DS is 6 and is very confident with reading and maths (not meant to be a brag but more to say that he can play fairly complex games!) We’ve got Uno, Top Trumps etc and also have some 1 player SmartGames/logic puzzles etc.

Good old fashioned hangman has been a hit recently with my 6 yr old on holiday. Maths wise…maybe beginner sudoku?

Uno

Take a pack of playing cards for endless games.
Along the lines of exploding kittens, mine like Gubs.
Travel Scrabble always comes along.
Travel monopoly is ok too (the card game).
The kids have an app called 2 player games, which has yahtzee among other games (still uses a phone though of course).

Travel Cluedo? DS is 9 now but we took it on holiday 2 years ago and he loved it

Playing cards definitely. So many possibilities and can actually be a useful social skill.

Teach him some patience games so he can amuse himself.

Have some kind of token - matchsticks, pebbles, pennies - for simple gambling games.

Monopoly Deal was always a favourite with my kids
