Where in Crete?

4 adults. 2 very passionate about ancient sites, 2 want a bit of a mix of activities including lounger time. Would prefer an adults only resort with lots of eating options

willing to pay quite a bit

Ikaros Beach Resort and Spa is high end and well-placed for Knossos, Herakleion and Gournia. The resort has activities like yoga, tennis, boccia, and there are watersports nearby too. I think there were about 5 restaurants there when we went, not including bars.

Crete for October half term? We done want too hot but enjoy 21 to 25c so warm enough to sunbathe and explore. Not out late of an evening just a meal and back as more daytime people with our ND teenager - any advice please?
