Best hotel in the Maldives for my 40th next year

With a 4 and an 8 year old.

We like surfing too!

Went to Lily Beach and is so amazing and also family friendly!

Budget is key, how much do you want to spend?

Not really any surfing in the Maldives apart from one island

The following are kid friendly

Centara Grand
Kuramathi
Bandos
Lux
Lily Beach
Constance Halaveli
Conrad Rangali
Avani

From previous research- Centara Grand was cheapest of these. Kuramathi had the best looking kids club. Bandos is close to Male so reduces overall travel time and reassuring in case of medical issues. Centara Grand, Lux, Constance Halaveli both require a seaplane journey. Avani is a pain to get to. Conrad is very expensive.

Lux has no house reef so decide if that is important.

There will be some newer options too as this list is a bit old and resorts are constantly opening or reopening. And quite a few of the new ones are trying to be more family friendly I think. JK Manufaru or Movenpick or any of the Sun Siyam ones for example. But some of these are on man made islands which means no reef (and is environmentally dodgy IMO).

Adaaran hudaremfushi (not sure I’ve spelt it right but hopefully gets you started). It has a surf reef, surf school and is very child friendly. DS was 6 when we visited and we had a great time.
