I'm looking for ideas on cheap all inclusive holidays for the end of May, got to be hot or at least beach, pool weather. Will also have an older primary age child with us so two adults and an older child. Looking for ideas on country/ area. We also like to explore the area, history, culture, food Any ideas welcome

Go on Tui, Thomas cook and jet2 websites, you can do an open search by destination from your local airport and travel dates. Canaries will be warm and Cyprus at the end of May / start of June was pleasant.

Counter intuitively, I'd expect the Canaries to be less expensive than the Balearics and agree with doing an open search on the usual package holiday operators.

Although if you want 'cheap AI' it's not necessarily going to be nice food or relaxed surroundings, more likely 'scrum at the buffet' and people getting their money's worth of booze by the pool.

Are you set on AI? You could probably self cater/B&B in an apart hotel/bungalow complex then eat out once a day and stock up on easy food, drinks, snacks and ice creams and have a nicer, more relaxed experience with better food for about the same, if not less, than lower cost AI hotels.
