Off on a resort holiday with First Choice in 5 weeks. Taking a friend, plus our four kids (aged 1,3,4,7)

Any tips, we're staying somewhere called Club Caleda Dorada, anywhere else nice to visit?

We have just returned from Caleta de Fuste also with First Choice, we were in Barcello something? We hired a car for a few days, but there isn't that much worth travelling for.
The exception would be the animal park, sorry cant remember the name, although it might be Oasis. We have dd 2.5 and she loved it,I know that if you go with the reps, tours it is really expensive, however entry for 2 adults was 37euros children under 3 are free. There is a water park at Corraljo? but we thought our dd would be to small for most slides.

Worth noting we were s/c and food is really expensive at the supermarkets, I paid £5 for a melon, would be worth taking some basics with you if you can.
It is very windy which can be nice when it is very warm but loads of British burnt people walking about.
Have a great holiday

Went 2 years ago in July to Coraejo. It was so windy it felt cold all the time even though I was told it was 30 degrees. A lot of people had little wind break tent thingys which I would suggest it's well worth taking.

We went to Club Caleta Dorada last year and LOVED it. Will give you some tips, but obviously it could have all changed in 12 months.

We went in May - very windy but very very hot. The creche was a godsend for an overheated 2 yr old.

Are you SC or AI? If AI the Italian is very good, but the Chinese is pretty awful. The buffet is fine, nothing fancy, but always a range of choices. The pools were very cold. The kids pool with splash park was freezing but good fun and the toddlers pool is right alongside and gated so very safe.

Its a 10/15 mon walk downhill to the beach. get to the beach, go left and keep following the promenade for about a mile till you come to large rocks (past a lighthouse). There are wild chipmunks living on the rocks that will feed peanuts and almonds out of your hands. Amazing and the best bit for us!!

We spent our evenings at the 'Irish bar' (that was run by Italians WTF?!) rather than the main bar as it got too busy and too crowded for us.

Will think of more later if you want, but gotta go now
