Stroller that will fit in the overhead hold of plane.

Baby will be 7 months old when we go. He’s on the 98th centile for height and weight. Any recommendations of a stroller that folds small enough to go on a plane but sturdy for his weight?

@anonny55 okay so you'll need a buggy which, when folded, has max dimensions 45x36x20 cm which is the size of permitted hand luggage with easyJet.
With easyJet you will also have to book at least one seat as Upfront or Priority or whatever they call it, to be allowed to take this larger size luggage on board. This will then be instead of a wheeled cabin trolley.
I don't doubt that more expensive carriers accept folded buggies as extras in the cabin, but I would always assume easyJet and Ryanair etc will not.

Strictly speaking you don’t need to do. We fly easyJet on a return trip every month for almost 4 years and only once have I ever been told I can’t take the buggy on board. I just carry it on and as I’m often on my own, staff even help me with it and store it in the locker.

Just to add with EasyJet you get speedy boarding if you’re with small children. You just join the speedy boarding queue.

For us, we don’t want to risk our expensive pram being damaged in the hold and also you usually don’t get it back until the luggage belt, we’d like to have it on exiting the plane. It definitely only takes up one cabin suitcase space or it wouldn’t be allowed on.

No I don't think it would be allowed on.

You are talking crap. We’ve taken it on and so have many others! There are prams designed and sold specifically for this purpose.

So bloody annoying when people confidently state wrong information on the internet! If you don’t know something why not just keep quiet or if you RTFT you will see many others have confirmed they can be taken on.

Fully agree. I have literally taken a buggy on British airways over and over again. In the cabin with us.

agree with others that budget airlines are more like to be funny but they might also be okay with it too!!

we fly solely Ryanair/easyJet return every other month and take our Joolz aer+ buggy onto the plane was only taken from us the first time. We check the car seat at the gate. Both are free.

The yoyo has always gone on Ryanair/ Ba/ EasyJet/ emirates with us. Ryanair once asked us if it was the yoyo and said the yoyo was fine. When the next person said there’s was a different brand they said no it’s too big ( ergo metro)
