Bugaboo Donkey - airplane

Hello! I have an 11 week old & 18 month old and we’re going abroad to Europe for 4 weeks so I want to bring our Bugaboo Donkey (with bassinet and toddler seat) however I have no idea how to package it securely enough for it to go in the hold.

Plan is to keep it with us until boarding so it can go in the hold. I have one of those XL pram bags but they are so flimsy and it barely fits in!

Any advice/experience much appreciated x

I don’t think a lot of planes will let you keep it with you until you board. They didn’t with us we had to check it with our suitcase. I would put littlest in a sling and have a carrier for dh (if travelling with?) to carry your other little one. There is a site called baboodle or something along those lines who allow you to hire buggies and carriers and baby stuff. We’re going to hire a smaller push chair when we go to the states. The yoyo fits as hand luggage however would depend how much your littlest is happy in a sling
check with your airline directly as you don’t want to get caught out at the airport. It happend to us

We put ours into the hold at check in. Little one in a carrier, older one had to walk / be carried. We put the base in by itself and thr 2 seats in a bag. I didn't try taking it to the gate as we just didn't think it would be possible.
