Anyone flew with an umbilical hernia big or small?

I flew last year with a very large inguinal hernia, it was for work, so had business class, which was a relief, as sitting up for 11 hours would have been painful.

I’ve had an umbilical hernia and found that wasn’t as bad when sitting as the inguinal.

The flight itself didn’t cause any problems with the hernias.

I flew two weeks ago and hadn’t actually considered it to be a potential problem. I can confirm it was absolutely fine - no more discomfort than normal 🙂

I didn’t have any issues, but had to inform my insurance company in advance of travelling
