Hi
We are looking to celebrate my MILs 80th next year and are looking for a house to hold around 25 with dogs allowed! Does anyone have any recommendations please? Not too pricey but with stuff to do nearby? Thanks for any suggestions!

https://www.riverwyelodge.com/ is where I've stayed and we enjoyed it thoroughly! They accept dogs, and rooms to sleep up to 26. I'm not sure about what is there to do in the local area as we very much stayed in the house other than a walk to a local stream where we paddled.

I think that’s the only Mumsnet thread that I have ever seen where a perfect solution is provided in the very first message!

I’ve stayed at The Manor House in Eardisland near Hereford several times with a large group of friends. Highly recommend it.

I know it says sleeps 11-22 but at least one room is a family room with a double and 2 singles and you can request extra beds if needed.

Depending on budget, the Landmark Trust could be worth a look. They have some very large properties. We stayed in a couple of their smaller ones many years ago. They were lovely, and extremely interesting places too.

This would have been ideal, thanks so much, bookmarked for next time!

us too. It’s so beautiful and the kitchen is off the scale. Lots of beautiful rooms and nooks and crannies, but also big spaces to congregate.

I’ve stayed here with a family group and it was great, there are options to have catering provided or self-cater, lovely local beaches, walks and pubs too
